Division 7 - Ice Age
The Swedish melancholy has taken on the dancing shoes when Division 7 is now up to date with the new single Istid, which will be released on 15 May. A bittersweet and fast-paced story about a destructive relationship that leads to an irresistible all-singing chorus. Anyone who has been looking for the first summer torment of the twenties need look no further. And despite the title, Ice Age will warm fragile indie hearts for a long time to come.
Who said that Swedish indie rock is dead? Division 7 is the long-awaited defibrillator that not only makes indie hearts beat - with guitar-driven rock and saxophone-sniffing blue eyed soul in the foreground, Division 7 embraces its audience with a confident assurance that Swedish indie rock is still relevant and here to stay.
2019 was the year when Division 7 consolidated its obvious place on the Swedish indie scene. In connection with the release of the EP "From the bottom up to the top and down" in August 2019, the music magazine Popmani declared that Division 7 is the band that stands out in the crowd among Stockholm's unsigned acts. When the year was summed up, the EP was named one of the best of 2019.
Now Division 7 is back, stronger than ever with new music recorded in the Swedish Gramophone Studio, ready to save indie Sweden.
Division 7 started as a duo in 2008 when friends Dara Khudaida and Max Söderholm started writing songs together during high school. Just over eight years later, in 2016, the band took shape when four additional members joined and formed what is today the indie machine Division 7.
